    Each clip goes to the Hub over its Wi-Fi as soon as it's saved. A police stop copies every few seconds, so a phone that's grabbed or wiped doesn't take the footage with it.

    Uploaded to Dashivo Cloud from home

    Parked at home, the Hub joins your home Wi-Fi and uploads the clips that matter overnight, encrypted, to Dashivo Cloud.

Coming soonUrgent clips don't wait. A police stop or an impact goes to Dashivo Cloud right away, over cellular if you've allowed it. Everything else waits for Wi-Fi.

Two
models.

The same Dashivo on both. The Custom is built on an Arduino UNO Q, runs Dashivo today and is ready to preorder. The Black Box is built on a Raspberry Pi 5, with a faster Wi-Fi radio and a case that keeps it cool: reserve one now, and it ships once Dashivo is ported to it and it has passed our heat tests.

For the storage add-ons, with one camera; two cameras halve these. With your own drive, plan on about 4.5 GB an hour of 1080p per camera. When it's full, the oldest footage makes room, like a dash cam, and locked clips are kept.

  • A car parked in the sun can reach 60 to 80 °C inside, which is why the Hub goes under a front seat, the coolest hidden spot, and never on the dash or the rear shelf. The Custom is fanless and runs cool. Pausing writes when it's too hot and picking up again as it cools is Coming soon in the Hub software. The Black Box ships only after it passes our heat tests.

  • Not with the recommended 12 V hardwire kit, a $30 add-on: it has a low-battery cut-off that switches the Hub off before the battery gets too low to start the car, and it turns 12 V into 5 V right beside the Hub, so the power stays steady. The USB-C car adapter ($20) runs the Hub whenever your car's socket is powered; in a car whose socket stays on when it's parked, choose the hardwire kit.

  • It's hidden under the seat, so it's hard to find in a hurry, and your phones still keep their own copies. Encrypting the Hub's drive is Coming soon: once it's in, a stolen Hub shows nothing to whoever took it.

  • The clips it recorded are already on the Hub: each one is copied as soon as it's saved, and a police stop copies every few seconds. Taking, breaking or wiping the phone doesn't touch the Hub's copy.

  • Then the Hub goes with it. That's what Dashivo Cloud is for Coming soon: urgent clips go up right away, over cellular if you've allowed it, and the rest uploads from your home Wi-Fi.

  • Yes, any time before it ships, for a full refund: from Orders in your Dashivo account, or by email to [email protected]. If your batch is going to be late, we'll tell you, and you can cancel then for a full refund too. A Black Box reservation costs nothing, so there's nothing to refund.

  • The Custom ships in Q4 2026, in batches, first come first served. We ship to the US only for now. Shipping is free, and sales tax is added at checkout.

  • A Hub order shows as DASHIVO* HUB. Dashivo Cloud shows as DASHIVO* CLOUD or DASHIVO* CLOUD PLUS, once Cloud launches.

  • Your order, where it is in the queue and the button to cancel it for a full refund all live in your Dashivo account, and so does a Black Box reservation. Sign up with Apple, Google or your email. The app itself never needs an account.

  • Yes, both are optional. A drive should be USB 3 and high-endurance; the Hub uses drives formatted ext4 today, and exFAT drives are Coming soon. For power, use a USB-C supply with 5 V 3 A for the Custom or 5 V 5 A for the Black Box. Footage never goes on the board's own memory.

  • Each Hub starts out as Dashivo- and its serial number, like Dashivo-1A2B3C4D, so Hubs in different cars are easy to tell apart. You can rename it in the app (Hub dashboard › Settings) or on the Hub's own page: it keeps Dashivo- in front, like Dashivo-Work-Van, and its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth take the new name. The Wi-Fi password stays the same, and phones with the Dashivo app join the renamed Wi-Fi by themselves. Anyone nearby can see the Wi-Fi name, so pick something like Work Van rather than your own name.

  • No. It's optional: the app records, stamps and keeps your footage on its own, for free. The Hub adds a copy hidden in the car, away from the phone. The Hub switches are already in the app, in Settings › Hub.

  1. Your account

    Preorders and reservations are made in your Dashivo account, where you can see and cancel them.

  2. Price

    You pay the full price when you order, in US dollars: the Hub and the add-ons you choose, up to 3 per order. Shipping is free; sales tax is added at checkout.

  3. When it ships

    The Custom ships in Q4 2026, in batches, first come first served.

  4. If it's late

    If your batch is going to miss that window, we'll tell you before it does, with a new date. You can wait, or cancel for a full refund.

  5. Cancelling

    Cancel any time before your Hub ships, for a full refund to the card you paid with: from Orders in your account, or by email.

  6. Shipping

    US addresses only for now. Shipping is free.

  7. Black Box reservations

    A reservation is free and isn't an order: no payment. It's kept in your account, and we'll email you when the Black Box is ready to order, so you can decide then.

  8. Warranty and returns

    The written warranty and the return policy for a delivered Hub come before your Hub ships. We'll email them to you, and you can still cancel for a full refund at that point.
