The situation

You drive for a rideshare service at night. A rider later disputes what happened on a trip. You want the road and the cabin on record, with sound, with your speed and the posted limit on every frame.

Step by step

  1. Before the shift

    Dash cam, front and rear

    In Dashivo™'s Settings, keep the mode on Dash cam and turn on Front and rear (Pro). Mount the phone in the middle of the windshield, just below the mirror, where your state allows (or on the dash or console), tilted so the front camera sees both rear doors, and plug it in. Want the road behind too? A second phone on the rear shelf records it on its own.

  2. Rolling

    Both cameras

    The rear camera records the road and the front camera records the cabin, at the same time, with sound, each into its own file. The road fills the screen and the cabin shows in a small picture.

  3. Pickup

    Tell riders

    Let riders know they're being recorded, with a sticker or a word. Audio consent laws vary by state.

  4. All shift

    Hands off

    Mounted and plugged in, it records the whole shift in a loop, stamped with your speed and the posted limit. Don't handle the phone while you drive.

  5. If needed

    Police stop

    The POLICE button is one tap away: every camera records until you end it, saved every few seconds.

  6. After the trip

    Find the clip

    Each file is named with the date, the time to the second and the camera, like 2026-09-27_20-41-52_Front.mp4, so the right one is easy to find and share.

Good to know

Road and cabin in Dash cam mode is part of Pro ($9.99 once). Body cam mode records front and rear too, free. Recording both cameras at once needs a phone that can run them together (on iPhone, the XS, XR and newer; see which phones work). On iPhone, keep Dashivo on screen while it records. Check your rideshare platform's rules and your state's recording laws; this isn't legal advice.
